I've bought a new car Wednesday, November 14 2007
And what a car it is. Now I'm working at home, and fuel economy is not an issue for me any more, I decided it was time to ditch the diesel. I went to a couple of dealerships yesterday and test drove a couple of fast cars.
The first I drove was an ex-demonstrator Volkswagen Golf R32. I must say, it is quite a car, but ultimately, I couldn't justify spending that much on a car that I don't drive every day (it would have cost slighly more a month than my mortgage). So then I started looking at my options around £10k less than that. I can tell you, you can still buy a lot of car for £20,000.
So the next one I test drove was the Ford Focus ST, and I fell in love with it as soon as I set off. It has loads of power inside it 5-cylinder 2.5litre turbo charged engine and more grip than I expected from the low profile 18" wheels. So this is my car and it's yet to be registered (it currently has 4.1 miles on it).

Currently we have a collection date for next Friday, February 17th and I can't wait already. There's lots of paperwork to do between then and now, but it will be worth it.

I'll be posting some more photos when I've collected it so stay tuned. Maybe I'll also post a mini review as well when I've had a longer drive in it.
