Windows Vista x64 and My First Driver Problem

So after about two weeks of very happy computing with Vista x64, I have found the first device I can't use with it. I have the Canon EOS 350d/Rebel XT and it seems Canon have no driver support at all for the 64bit platform. It's not a huge deal though as I'll just have to get a Compact Flash card reader. The other tools seem to work, such as ZoomBrowser EX and Digital Photo Professional (used for processing RAW images) so all is not lost. Sadly the lack of USB driver will mean I can't use RemoteCapture though, which I do occasionally make use of.

[edit] Ok, I blogged too soon. This page lists the support for each EOS model and it seems if I set my camera's connection mode to 'Print/PTP' then it will work. So far, so good.

You beat me to it...set it to PTP and it should work (my Sony Cybershot had the same issue on XP x64). I personally think it's actually better than if there were a driver.

Agreed. I wish I knew about it before. It's a much nicer experience now plus I can use tools I want to tranfer images from my camera.
